It is amazing when you least expect it the weight seems to just melt off with out trying. When you flip the switch from weight gain to weight loss the weight seems to come off effortlessly. This week was a huge success— 4 and 1/2 pound loss was the actual weigh in. I highly recommend celebrating when you lose weight. In the past when she was celebrating it generally centered on food. Like a brownie or an ice cream sundae. The best celebration is to just appreciate yourself, your efforts and your new regained energy. Like the saying goes “STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES”.
Instead of Celebrating with food, try this:
- A BODY MASSAGE
- A MANICURE
- A PEDICURE
- A NEW OUTFIT
- A THANK YOU NOTE “TO YOUR SELF”
- AN ENTRY IN YOUR JOURNAL
- A WALK IN THE PARK
- A MEDITATION
- A YOGA CLASS
- A_____________
You Fill in the blank. The point is; we must try to get away from those old habits of celebrating and centering it on food. When you have, or go to a party, try to focus on friends, a great conversation or just appreciate the laughter. I did not say it would be easy, but, i did say you are worth it!
Until the next weigh in.
Have a healthy day!!!

Make the Most of Social Events With The Least Damage To Your Weight Loss Program
When you think of holiday get-togethers, what comes to mind? Lavish buffets laden with bacon-wrapped appetizers, breaded entrees, cheese-topped vegetables and decadent desserts. Bottomless cocktails! Endless eggnog!
Granted, it is the holiday season and such items are often part of festive social gatherings. But just because they’re there doesn’t mean you have to abandon all of the healthy habits you’ve learned so far. Like any focused ritual; you just need to mastermind a plan before you arrive and stick to it once you’re there.
Here are some tips you might want to make part of your “social success strategy”:
Don’t arrive hungry. Try eating a Focus28 portion control snack like soy nuts or a meal bar-it will stave off hunger and help maintain the recommended protein gram needed for your day!
Drink a big glass of water (or two) before cocktail parties where hors d’oeuvres are served.
Offer to be the designated driver so you can avoid high-calorie alcoholic drinks. And make your non-alcoholic drink look festive with a swizzle stick, umbrella, lemon twist, lime wedge or celery stick. Bring along your high protein Focus28 drink mix-just add water at the party and no one will know the difference–of course, you and your scale will notice -No Weight gain during the holiday season!!
Use a small plate to make portions appear larger.
Be the first in line at the buffet so you won’t be influenced by others’ choices. Try to “preview” all the offerings before making the best choice, and limit yourself to one trip.
Once done with your meal, position yourself on the side of the room away from the food table.
Focus on the social aspects of the party. Meet new people. Tell jokes. Learn a new dance step. Volunteer to take pictures, set up games and help the host in nonfood ways.
Above all, keep in mind that holiday parties are people events at which food happens to be present - not the other way around.
Happy Healthy Thanksgiving!!

Last month Frederic and I spent a beautiful Saturday together at the zoo. All of the animals were so beautiful and amazing to me. We walked by the elephants and I was in awe of these divine creatures. Frederic and I were discussing how powerful and strong these elephants are, and how amazing it is that they don’t break out of their environment. I then remembered the story I heard about elephants.
When elephants are very young and not as massive and strong, the trainers at the circus will tie them down with a very strong chain. They struggle and struggle trying to get away, until they come to the conclusion that there is no way of breaking free. As the elephant becomes massive in size and strength, it could easily break away from the chains, but it doesn’t bother. It only remembers how much it tried in the past and how painful the struggle was. Therefore, the elephant never even attempts to escape again. It completely gives up. The elephants can then be tied down with a very small and thin rope, because it has already been conditioned that it is futile to try to get away.
Do you do this in your own life? As a young child, you may have felt tied down by your parents and their expectations of you. You may have attempted to try to make them happy and gain their approval. Since you couldn’t make them happy, you may have conditioned yourself to believe that you were a failure and therefore powerless. You were conditioned to believe in your limitations and that there was no breaking free. Maybe your thick chain was your struggle with abundance and success. Maybe it was a struggle with relationships. Whatever chain held you back, and then you can make a decision and free yourself today. You forgot the massive power that you have and that you can break free from what binds you. We can’t explain to an elephant how he can easily break free from what is holding him back, but as humans, we have the capacity to become free of our past conditioning.
I have included an activity sheet that will really allow you to get in touch with the part of you that is already powerful and free. With the Law of Attraction, what you focus upon expands, so focus on breaking free from the limiting conditioning. It really is time to realize that there is nothing holding you back anymore. You have the power to create your life the way you want it. If you want more abundance and success, you can have it. If you want to create your ideal relationship, you can! Whatever you felt held you back in the past, was just the past. This moment right now is the first moment of the rest of your life. You get to choose and start over right now. What are you going to choose?

It’s no secret that these are trying times. With the roller coaster stock market , contentious Presidential races, global warming etc., it’s no wonder that blood pressures are rising and so are fear and anxiety levels.
That’s where hypnosis comes in. Hypnosis has the amazing ability to calm that inner self and to keep it quiet. When one enters an “alpha” or “theta” state of relaxation the cares and worries seem to melt away.
Self Hypnosis and other techniques like Emotional Freedom Technique  melt anxiety away. Also there’s   an amazing device that I promote to all of my clients. It  is the Light and Sound mind entrainment  machine which uses pulsing light to induce very deep relaxation. They are available on my website www.hypnosiswestchester.com
I would be glad to explain how  this amazing and inexpensive equipment works and ho. So fire away with questions!

Have you ever had someone judge you? Â Of course you have. Â You are human! Â Have you ever had someone judge you for the something that you did? Â Again human! Â Maybe you made a mistake, got angry and raised your voice, did something inappropriate, or didn’t do something that someone else expected of you. Â What did you do with that judgment? Â What did you do with that self-judgment? Â I know in the past whenever I made a mistake, or raised my voice out of frustration or impatience and I would be shamed or judged for it, I would turn on myself. Â I would criticize and beat myself up. Â It would affect myself esteem, and I would feel totally disempowered (one of the lowest vibrations on the planet!).
I recently had a situation in which I was judged for something by someone really close to me. Â This time, something was different. Â I caught myself starting to shame myself for not being perfect. Â I heard that inner critic start to beat me up and I said

What a difference a day makes…………………….
Â
Weight loss can affect ones self esteem, mood and of course, what we buy and wear. The most recent update includes another weight fluctuation. Earlier in the week my client weighed in with a 1/2 pound gain. This time I suggested that she try a Focus28 drink instead of her daily dessert of a bag of portion controlled 100-calorie cookies. Well, guess what? She tried the mango and orange and she loved it!! She said she actually froze it and made homemade ice pops- (like the kind you make when you are a kid), the one that you use and ice tray and orange juice. But, this time instead of the caloric density of oj, the substitution with a Focus28 high protein, low calorie drink made a difference and was quite satisfying. Towards the end of the week she passed the weigh gain and then lost another 1 and 1/2 pounds. Â Â
Sometimes the smallest change can make a difference. Just like on the exercise floor, cross training and muscle confusion is paramount. Similarly, I suggest making dietary changes that taste good, assist in maintaining healthy protein intake levels and increase fluid intake. Be aware of the food you put in your body. Like the saying goes
