Sharon Zarabi is a Registered Dietitian (RD, CDN) and certified personal fitness trainer, receiving certification by the International Fitness Professional’s Association. She earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2005, in Nutrition and Dietetics. Most recently, Sharon attended Long Island University – CW Post, to obtain her certification as a Registered Dietician in 2006, by completing a dietetic internship with master’s credits.
Devoted to a life and career of promoting healthy living, she is an active member of several nutritional associations, including: The ADA – American Dietetic Association, IDEA Health and Fitness Association, Greater New York Dietetic Association, Long Island Dietetic Association, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the ECA World Fitness Alliance.
Ms. Zarabi partook in significant internship programs throughout her education, granting her the experience she has today. At St. Francis Hospital, specializing in cardiac and weight management, she worked with children in the Adolescent Medicine department. She has experience with the geriatric population as well, working as a nutritionist at the Cold Spring Hills long-term care facility, in New York. In addition, Sharon has served as an Active Lifestyle Coach for the employees of the Discovery channel, competing against AOL in The president’s body challenge 2006. She is currently partaking in a research study with RESTORE- status post Gastric Bypass Patients.
Alongside private counseling for Weight Loss Surgery Patients of Lenox Hill Hospital PF New York, Sharon works as a highly enthusiastic aerobics instructor, employed by various health clubs including: Lucille Roberts, Impact Health and Fitness Club, the Jewish Community Center of Roslyn, and BOOM Fitness of Park Avenue. Sharon desires to spread her ardent belief in health and fitness with those looking to improve their lifestyle with healthy habits. Her vision is to use fitness and nutrition as a means to offer spiritual and emotional upheaval in people’s lives.
